On March 24, 2004, a two-year investigation conducted by SIB and DETF ended with the seizure of more than two tons of marijuana and 330 pounds of cocaine. Agents recovered 44 pounds of cocaine and $10,000 in Washington Heights from a trap in a car. Search warrants in the vicinity of the Bronx Terminal Market led to the recovery of more than two tons of marijuana and an additional 286 pounds of cocaine.
