110 pounds of cocaine were seized in Jackson Heights, Queens at the conclusion of a wiretap investigation that targeted an organization directly supplied by Cali, Colombia. Organization head Hector Garcia was arrested along with three others. On January 26, 2004, DETF investigators conducted a search operation at a residence in Jackson Heights, Queens. Agents recovered 55 pounds of cocaine from a vehicle parked nearby. A subsequent search of the home yielded an additional 55 pounds of cocaine hidden inside a bedroom closet. Prior to these seizures, $143,000 had been recovered from a trap in a car.
